The Full Story

Douglas Lofton III, aka “Tre’” commenced his interest in music at an early age. He began playing music at the age of 10 years old. It was evident at the beginning of Tre’s music career he was blessed with a gift to play the Saxophone. In middle school Tre’ auditioned for the T.L. Hanna Jazz Band and was successful in landing a seat at the age of 13. He has been tenacious in his pursuit of perfecting his talent. Being a part of the T.L. Hanna Jazz Band he had the opportunity to lead and entertain audiences in countless solo musical pieces. Tre’ has been focusing on his music continuously during his middle and high school years. During his Junior and Senior year in High School Tre’ received several Superior Ratings in his musical performances. Tre’ is currently in his Sophomore year at Southern Wesleyan University on a music scholarship majoring in Music Performance. He had the privilege of being mentored and undertook musical sessions from the famous platinum recording Saxophonist Doug Norwine.

Tre’s mentor the renowned musical genius Doug Norwine whom is famous for being the baritone sax behind Lisa Simpson and her mentor, “Bleeding Gums” Murphy on the FOX hit series, The Simpsons. He has toured with and/or been a soloist on numerous recordings with such artists as, Chaka Khan, Melissa Manchester, The Four Tops, Ray Charles, Maureen McGovern, David Benoit, Rick Braun, Pat Benatar, Woody Guthrie, Johnny Mathis, Sheena Easton, Diana Reeves, Frank Valli, The Four Seasons, Alphonse Mouzon, Frank Sinatra, Paul McCartney, Bette Midler, Tony Bennett, and Harry Connick Jr.

So Bold Entertainment is releasing Tre’s original debut single entitled “Loving You” later in the year of 2017. Tre’ collaborated with Hiroshi Upshur, Keyboardist alongside Josh Sklair, Grammy Award Winning Guitarist on the track “Loving You”. On the next original single entitled “Dance with Sax” Tre’ collaborated with Gail Jhonson, Keyboardist and Josh Sklair Guitarist.

Tre’ is currently working on his EP, several notable songs will include cover songs titled, End of the Road, Step in the Name of Love, Georgia on my Mind and a bonus track from Veteran Motown Producer Michael B. Sutton, whom produced for some of the great artist such as Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Michael Jackson and other various artist.
